My Advocacy

In 18 years if existence we can`t avoid bullying or being discriminated because of my religion. Well, I do not mind them because they are just talking toxic things which is true. Yes I am once called “moklo” which means uneducated, terrorist and a bad guy. In this case I do not want that my co-muslim brothers and sisters experience what I have experienced before. Yes I do not mind what they have said but it really bother me or somehow drag me down. Every word really counts, so you guys must think carefully in every word that is coming from your mouth. My advocacy is Religion Stereotyping. Yes we really need to work with that because in that case if it will not end there will be always a boundary in every religion which is very sad to think. Why not we, people respect each other`s beliefs and everything that is in our own religion. Why do nott we just love each other where in fact we are all equal in the eye of God Almighty. No judgement, no hate, no discrimination but just love. Through that we can live harmoniously without being judge. Freedom will exist and that`s what we want right? So speak up and be a Good role model of what religion is your practising right now. Receiving respect from others is important because it helps us to feel safe and to express ourselves. Respect means that you accept somebody for who they are, even when they’re different from you or you don’t agree with them. Respect in your relationships builds feelings of trust, safety, and well being.

My Next Move

Different forms of media that gives off various information has been scattered in the society. There are a lot of informations scattered and sometimes we can hardly sort the useful ones. Or perhaps, we can however, we tend to neglect those useful ones and instead, we keep on spreading those useful ones. This is why Media and Information Literacy is becoming a must. When we say media and information literacy for me, it would be the proper usage of information that we have acquired and identified. Lastly, information and media literacy talks about how we deal with the information that we have encountered. That is why we must use social media responsibly.

With regard to my advocacy which is the anti stratification and discrimination of people according to Religion. This is specified specially to our Muslim brothers and sisters. When some people hear the word “Muslim”, people tend to stereotype things. For once, I was called “moklo” which means uneducated, bad, and terrorist by their perspective. This help me conclude that I dont want any of my co-brothers and sister Muslim to experience such things. Through the help of Media and Information Literacy, we can break this stereotype and mentality. We can therefore cleanse the names of innocent ones. That they tend to criticize without further proof and evidences. But how can this be done? Firstly, sharing post that are unbiased can be a great help. Post such as this counts. They said that every word count also. And then, if one can be media and information literate, then he would know wewther or not his information is accurate and is beneficial for the common good.

Since we are talking about media and information literacy I will use social media. My next move is to have a logo which explains my advocacy. For the people or netizen to understand what my advocacy is all about. And to post My advocacy to speak out and to answer if they have any questions on my advocacy and further discussions.
